Medical Aesthetics

enhance health and beauty

In the world of aesthetics, there is an undeniable connection between how you look and how you feel.

Most of us are looking to put our best face and body forward because we value the importance of physical appearance. The mind-body connection is real: if we are not looking our best, we certainly won't be feeling our best. If your goal is to become the best physical version of yourself and exude health, beauty, wellness, and confidence to all with whom you come into contact - then you might want to consider investing in a course of AWT.

Keen to look your best? Would you prefer to avoid surgery or injections? Would you prefer a more subtle approach than disappearing for a few weeks and then dropping back into society with a completely changed face?

Medical aesthetics enhance health, beauty, and wellness and is completely non-invasive (no needles and no incisions) without any side effects.  The anti-aging and restorative effects of Acoustic Wave Therapy treatment can deliver results as soon as the first treatment session depending on the area being treated. Treatments with this technology accelerate natural tissue repair and regeneration processes, increase lymphatic drainage, and reactivate metabolism to reduce fat and dimpling imperfections. Remarkably, Acoustic Wave Therapy is known to increase collagen production and improve skin tone, restoring elasticity and firmness.

By enhancing health, beauty, and wellness, Acoustic Wave Therapy delivers abundantly, with no pain, needles, or fillers—and that's a win-win for our clients. Rather than relying on invasive procedures, this technology is a natural solution that depends on your body's own regenerative potential.

AWT Equipment

What is AWT?

AWT® Acoustic Waves are sound pulses that can spread through biological tissue, rapidly and repeatedly, radiating to the treated area. This method accelerates the natural processes of tissue repair, accelerates cellular metabolism, increases venous and lymphatic microcirculation, stimulates growth factors, increases the permeability of the cellular membranes, and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, thus improving the skin's compactness. Thanks to numerous scientific studies, the acoustic waves are widely used in the treatment of cellulite, in the reduction of adipose tissue, in toning, in reshaping the body, and in anti-aging facial treatment sometimes with visible results after only the first session!

AWT explained

We use the same machine (with different highly specialised treatment heads) for treating both musculoskeletal soft tissue injuries and performing medical aesthetics treatments.

Anti-aging action

The anti-aging action with AWT® Acoustic Waves is obtained thanks to the stimulation of fibroblasts that reactivate the production of collagen and elastin fibres. This action promotes cell renewal, improving skin density and elasticity for a really deep restructuring at the dermal level. This treatment improves tissue microcirculation and oxygenation, providing a more even and radiant complexion. AWT® Acoustic Waves encourage the skin to become more toned and firm, relaxed and raised, lifted and with more defined contours.

Benefits of AWT:

Facial wrinkles

The restructuring action of Acoustic Waves AWT® acts directly on the dermal level, stimulating the synthesis of collagen and elastin, which, then in turn, contributes to the gradual reduction and lifting of wrinkles: results can be visible from as early as the first treatment session! This treatment is designed to fight all wrinkles on the face and forehead and now, with the ST20 Soft Touch transmitter, also wrinkles on delicate areas such as eyelids, the areas around the eyes and around the lips, and the neckline.

The expected results:

Eye area

Thanks to the activation of microcirculation, along with the draining and reoxygenating actions that AWT®, Acoustic Waves are able to produce, imperfections such as bags and dark circles under the eyes can be reduced.

By focusing treatment on the eyebrow arch, the upper eyelid can be raised: this gives the area a lifting effect and a more open gaze.

Lip contour

Wrinkles that look similar to 'bar codes' can be treated with AWT® Acoustic Waves through their action in restructuring the skin tissue, both in depth, and on the surface, thus resulting in a 'filling' effect; consequently, lips will appear plumper, more voluminous and will have better defined contour.

Cheekbones and the oval of the face

Thanks to AWT® Acoustic Waves, we can restore and improve the volume of the cheekbone area, raising them and obtaining a lifting and 'filling' effect. The oval of the face can once again be characterised by its well-defined and uniform contours, while the skin regains its natural firmness.

All this is possible thanks to the reactivation of regenerative skin processes at the dermal level: this is where the stimulation of collagen and elastin fibres and hyaluronic acid (substances which essentially maintain skin firmness and turgidity) takes place. .

The expected results:

Double chins and sagging

A double chin deforms and weighs down the facial features. AWT® Acoustic Waves work on the two fundamental aspects of this imperfection: they reduce fat accumulation under the chin and restore skin tone. By reactivating the metabolic processes, the accumulation of adipose tissue is reduced; at the dermal level meanwhile, the synthesis of fibroblasts and supporting fibres, such as collagen and elastin, is restored.

The contours are thus lifted and better defined, restoring turgidity and firmness to the skin.

Warnings for facial treatment with AWT

If you have undergone recent dental interventions such as implants, etc. then the treatment should be delayed 1-3 months after the intervention in consultation with your dentist.

Cortisone therapy in progress - It is recommended to wait at least 4-6 weeks after the last injection. Recent aesthetic treatments : usually wait 8 weeks.

FAQ

How Many Treatments Are Recommended?

We recommend 6 sessions in a row (intervals 1-2 sessions per week) + 2 maintenance sessions (after 1-2 weeks break)

How many treatments can be performed?

1-2 sessions per week. Maintenance 1 session per month

How long do the treatment effects last?

The AWT acoustic waves give an 'INPUT' to the body's cells, increasing their metabolism and regulating their regenerative processes even in the months following the treatment. During this period, the imperfections treated continue to improve.

What to do after the treatment?

During the treatment, the elimination mechanisms of waste products deposited in the tissues are stimulated, triggering removal via the lymphatic system. Therefore we suggest increasing your intake of water both before and after treatment to aid the process.

Is it possible to perform a facial treatment with AWT after recently undergoing a treatment with filler, suspension wires, botox, hyaluronic acid injections?

The AWT facial treatment should be delayed at least 8 weeks after the medical aesthetic treatment.

How much will it cost?

The package of 8 sessions will cost £980.00. This is an introductory price for the first three months. A monthly single session (if desired) will be £130 each time

How long is the session?

The session will last 55 minutes.

YOUR THERAPIST

Lorraine Christine Chiang

Physiotherapy is my first love... skin health my second. My passion for skin health arose when I was living in the Philippines as a teenager and suffering from regular acne break-outs! I started paying attention to my diet, hydration and exercise and often searched for creams to rescue my skin. As a Physiotherapist today I have a better understanding of physiology and how I can help myself using modalities like AWT ( Acoustic Wave Therapy) to prevent the “pre-mature” aging of my skin. Although there is no single fountain of youth, following a proper skincare routine can help our skin to look and feel its best as we age. Understanding the causes of premature skin aging and embracing our age are two important steps in maintaining beautiful and healthy skin for life.
