With 432 days, the Russian space programme holds the world record for the longest stay in space. But to make such an achievement possible, scientists first had to find a solution to one of the biggest problems connected to life in zero gravity: the degeneration of muscle mass.
The vibration based training developed by russian scientists not only ensured the cosmonauts' fitness in space, but also helped them to regain their strength after returning to earth.
The VibroGym idea
VibroGym International introduces the results of the further development of space fitness training based on the highly effective training concept “Whole Body Vibration”.
Marcel Tamminga, the founder of VibroGym International, began building his first fitness devices in 1999, which initiated a VibroTraining boom all over Europe. Today, VibroTraining® is beginning to draw worldwide attention. Various competitors have entered the market in the meantime, but VibroGym still stays the original.
How VibroTraining works
VibroGym generates vibrations that are transferred to your body. Standing on the VibroGym you will notice how your body automatically adjusts to these mechanical stimuli responding with a stretch reflex.
The effect of VibroTraining® very much depends on the frequency and intensity of the vibrations. Lower frequency are very effective for strength training, warming up and cooling down as higher frequency are used for massage. With a higher amplitude, the muscles are forced to contract more powerfully - this increases the training effect.
It is claimed that almost 100% of the body’s muscles are exercised when using VibroTraining®. Conventional training methods only reach 40-60%. The deeper lying muscles, e.g. postural muscles, benefit greatly from VibroTraining®.
Another major advantage of VibroTraining®: muscles that are not used very frequently can often not be activated consciously. VibroTraining® reactivates these muscles by reflex. The effect: all muscles are stimulated.
Your benefits
